Paris Je t’aime

I just got back from my spontaneous Paris trip and it was wonderful! Me and my boyfriend decided last week to take an unplanned trip to the beautifully romantic city and I am so glad that we did!
We only stayed for 2 nights, but we still managed to see so much!
These weekends just make me realize how easy it can be to just pack your bags and visit pretty places when you feel like it. I am so lucky to be living near these gorgeous cities, and I am definitely seeing some more road trips in the near future!

Here is a roundup of my weekend ( be aware, there are a LOT of pictures :)

And just out of curiosity where would your spontaneous trip take you?
Having fun at the Centre Pompidou
Outside of the Louvre

On the right: a very unique opportunity to visit the amazing Dali exhibition at the Centre Pompidou.

Some lovely views from our apartment.

We stayed in an apartment that we booked via airbnb. Airbnb is a way to rent someones home, or to rent your home to someone else. I think that this is a lot more fun than staying in a hotel. You get to see how it is to live in a big city, and it brings you to places that you normally wouldn’t visit.

Being amazed at the crowd in front of the Mona Lisa.
And a city trip just isn’t complete without some vintage shopping! I found out about Free’p’star online, and just loved it. They have 3 stores in the centre of Paris, and are extremely affordable. I especially loved the big piles of clothes of 1 euro each:) You might have to search a bit but trust me, there can be hidden beauties in there!

The Dutch COVID lockdown has been extended for another 3 weeks. I am lucky to still have steady work as a freelancer and I know that it is hard on so many people, but let's all stay safe and take this serious.
NEW ILLUSTRATION • This time it's a personal one: A drawing of my sister Kelly, who passed away last year.
NEW ILLUSTRATION! • This time it is Christmas themed. Hurray!
It's official: we, the cheese loving Dutchies are in Covid lockdown.
New illustration! • A cartoonesque visual of the upcoming European Bank plans. Illustrated for @de_volkskrant
It’s a cold day today and with COVID still around, let’s stay home and cuddle! With cats/dogs/kids/warm-blankets, you name it!;)
